I just watched this video on youtube.com & it just TICKS me off the way Obama's press secretary Robert Gibbs LAUGHS at people that HE deems stupid when they ask him a very legitimate question! As if that's his answer. The press conferences for obama are not allowed to be spontaneous with people asking the questions that THEY want to ask. They are screened beforehand by obama flunkies and certain ones are chosen to be called upon to ask a question during the press conference. This jerk Gibbs kept laughing at this one man, Chip Reid from CBS,...because it was supposed to be a town hall type meeting where it is more open, etc. He was not allowed to ask any question that was pre-approved by obama's people...and he was voicing his opinion as the procedure being objectionable. Which it is. Gibbs told him to 'email' him his questions. What was the town hall meeting for???? WHY SHOULD HE HAVE TO EMAIL GIBBS his questions when they are gathered there right then for that very thing???!! And Gibbs treated it as such an amusing situation....he came across as treating the reporter as if he was the stupid one who just didn't understand. When in fact it was the other way around. Oh and another reporter for Hearst Pub. , Helen Thomas was getting in on the action and she was torqued! It's about time the liberal media got fed up!!

I am with you totally!
You are right-on. Rep. M. Bachmann hit the nail on the head calling our presidency the IMPERIAL PRESIDENCY and Obama is our ''holy great one''. But I find when you try to talk to your local/state reps, one gets no where and that includes republicans. I think they are just hiding their heads in the sand hopeing it all goes away. This slight of hand way of doing business is how Hilter gained power. Kinda like the frog put in a pan of cold water and as it slowly heats up he gets ''his goose cooked''..........doesn't that sound somewhat like Our United States?????? A number of youth (21-40s) seem to want to ''hero worship'' Obama, he is a ''star'' and we must praise and be obediant to the ''holy great one''. I have a 75 yr old SIL who thinks that Obama is the greatest thing to happen to this country and that is some with with a master degree in education??? Help, Help, we need some common sense here. I try to talk to even family members, but they are so democrat and don't believe there are 2 sides to every issue and to top it off, they don't even vote. Good God What Is This Country Coming To???????? And Why Aren't More People Standing Up and Challenging This? Why Why Why.

Man, I just can't understand how so many 'educated people' are just following like sheep being lead to slaugther. Maybe I need to throw my soapbox at them and hit them in their heads to get their attention. Yipes, I'm on a roll here and can't seem to shut up, but I will...........atleast or a little while Sandy thanks your for keeping me informed of many things I don't know how to get to. I do subscribe to Heritage Foundation and it has opened my eyes on a lot. But when your own democratic Senators from our state by-pass any questions you e-mail them, I just get riled. No wonder I'm so stressed. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew. Time to sign off until later when something else ticks me off.

@thistlepatch - would you believe it is 12:25 a.m. Monday morning...I need to go to bed & yet I'm sitting on here typing away like I got all day.
...I'm such a loonie toon! and I just now found this comment you left me on the 3rd I believe! I sat there grinning the whole time I read it cause I was thinking, 'aha! her wittle soapbox is romping now! happy wittle soapbox!!' 
Plus...I was soooo agreeing with you and relating to what you were saying. You probably don't even remember, eh? After all...it WAS past breakfast when you wrote it! LOL! I keep telling myself...'myself, do not get on xanga...all you ever do on there is rant and rave about politics' ....so I ignore it a few days & then before I know it I'm reading something that infuriates me and my fingers just get possessed and in seconds I'm staring at xanga!!!

I do hope you have a nice Monday and that it isn't too hot there for you. How's your flowers and all? Mine are growing...for now anyway. It's been so hot...in the 80's...HOT for us! Feels like 90's. My kids came out yesterday from Anchorage and the 4 of us went to Talkeetna, a little hippie town that we love...bout an hour away...they have an annual Moose Dropping Festival that none of us had ever been to...it was great!
